The Commercial Directorate’s team of professionals have a breadth of experience from both the private and public sectors.
We support and encourage our staff in their learning and development within an environment that promotes equal opportunity.
In alignment with the Professional Skills for Government agenda we adopt ‘best practise’ guidance from OGC and other Government organisations. Continuous professional development of staff is achieved by working closely with professional bodies such as CIPS (new window) (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) and Universities.
Placements in the private sector are also encouraged in order to gain better understanding of our suppliers and their markets.
