Commercial Directorate launch the Momentum Programme

1 June 2006

The Momentum Programme is an initiative aimed at improving the way the Home Office engages with its suppliers and stakeholders and manages commercial activity.

Currently undergoing a significant transformation of its commercial and procurement activities, these events will enable the Home Office Commercial Directorate to explain the commercial strategy with suppliers and stakeholders.  This will be achieved by sharing information on meeting the challenges set by a number of recent government reports, including the Efficiency Review - which set a target of "delivering for less", increasing value and improving performance across public service delivery.

On 10 May, Jim Rawlings, Commercial Director of the Home Office, launched the Momentum Programme in front of an audience invited by Sir David Normington, Permanent Secretary to the Home Office.
